In a major move that might roll out very soon in the future, Microsoft has taken a big step forward towards the development of their latest brainchild and biggest project till date – the windows 9.
Satya Nadella, who believes that the future of computers will be cloud computing and mobile phones will more likely be replaced by tablets in the next ten years. This step has already started building a foundation for the next generation of computing devices, which are the Windows 9 devices.
Windows 9 is a first step forward since windows 8 released, and is based on more or less the same principles, yet with a more logical approach and ergonomic to use when it comes to touchscreen panels.
Slowly and steadily, Microsoft is going the cloud way. More and more of their products are going online, Windows Azure and Office 365 are their biggest projects in that direction. MS Office 365 is positioned as “Get in the cloud”.
In more news from the boss’s desk, Mr. Nadella is being said to have pitched in the idea of an early release of the Windows 9 and to give the users a sneak peek into the future of computers and Operating Systems at large.
This is basically to please those consumers who wanted to see radical changes in the 8.1, which is the upgrade available for Windows 8. The new OS gives immense powers to the users, to an extent that they don’t even have to restart the windows after making changes to the core windows settings.
In another major news, Microsoft have been testing an ‘upgrade to windows 9’ button, which they eventually plan to upload along with their enterprise editions of the windows. This button would easily and efficiently upgrade a machine running windows 8.x to windows 9, which is a very smooth and fluid transition, and will see lesser changes coming than those of windows 8 to windows 9.
