WhatsApp has been one of the biggest names in the world of smartphones and communication technology over the years. The popular chat client has been a revolutionary force in the world of communication, and it has single-handedly ousted the way we used to communicate before it was released. The arrival of whatsapp has put to rest e-mail based messengers such as the Yahoo Messenger and the Google Talk. SMS too has been something that people ‘used’ to do, and text messaging has been a trend on the decline off late. WhatsApp video calling is the next big thing which is going to hit the app as the next major update.
The WhatsApp video calling feature has been something which has been anticipated for a very long time, and people have been claiming it since early 2014. However, now the picture has become more clearer than ever before, as WhatsApp takes one giant leap forward towards the direction of progress! Screenshots have leaked via a German website, which show the WhatsApp Video Calling feature in all its glory.
The interface looks quite similar to a normal WhatsApp call, but with video support on it! It is being said that the company is now looking forward to attack Microsoft’s Skype, which is the biggest name in the markets of video messaging. WhatsApp has been introducing several changes over the past few months, and especially since Facebook took over in early 2014, things have been changing quite rapidly.
This is major progressive change that comes in for WhatsApp, as it is a user demanded feature too. According to the German website from where this above mentioned screenshot was sourced from, the company has been internally testing this on WhatsApp for iOS 188.8.131.52- an update which hasn’t been released in the store yet. As of this moment there is no information available on the release date of the feature, as well as if an Android version is ready.
