Best Food Finding Apps On Android and iOS That Are Trending Now:

Dec 18, 2016 By

The smartphone can now be used even to satisfy the sudden pangs of hunger, simply by installing best Food finding apps on your device. Normally, these applications are quite legit and require little effort to find and install, as they are available easily on the app stores. But there could be hundreds of choices to pick from and a wrong pick could leave you waiting for your food to be delivered till kingdom come. We have picked out some of the best food finding apps for you and no matter which part of the globe you are, these will help out strongly.

Swiggy is one of the many Food Finding apps in the world that takes care of food lovers eating urges, choices and dilemmas!!

Let’s start with the first one, Yelp. Yelp is basically a food search engine, supported by the inputs of the users of the app. It is through their shared experiences, that the app is able to give you the best suggestions. You normally need to key in the stuff you want to eat and it will return the best results to you based on relevance, proximity to your location and of course, user reviews. Available both on iOS and Android.

The second one is Zomato, which is another version of Yelp, but has more functions. Zomato allows you to look for restaurants, gives you reviews, allows users to post pictures from their visits to these restaurants and also gives you access to their full menu along with prices. This allows you to plan your budget before you visit. The best part of it is that it gives you a home delivery service. However, the home delivery is restricted to certain restaurants in select areas only. Available for Android and iOS.

The third one is Open Table. This application is basically used to book tables in restaurants. In course of booking, one is given an insight into different offers run by different restaurants, so not only can you book the tables, you can also save a few bucks by taking their offer. Leaves little to choose from if you are restricted to the offer menu only, but having a table booked well in advance during rush hours is a big relief.

On the fourth position, we can consider TripAdvisor. Although this is not strictly speaking just a food finding app, it is of great help to people who are visiting a place for the first time. Just like yelp, users’ reviews help people to decide which place is the best for them.

Where Chefs Eat is a paid application available categorically in the iOS. It is priced at $13 US and can be judged as one of the best apps in the category, as it seeks opinion from the chefs itself. Undoubtedly, being trained cooks, they also know which placed have the best tasting food, thus making this an absolutely trust worthy app.

Urbanspoon is another informative app that talks about the quality of food at different restaurants. It has recently struck up a deal with Zomato, which happens to be extremely good in terms of giving a fair idea of which restaurant is really good. With Urban Spoon you can find restaurants across the world, but only for cities which UrbanSpoon supports. The app is currently active in US, Canada, UK, Ireland and a few other places.

Lastly, we have Swiggy, which happens to be one of the best food finding apps in India. The company specializes in food delivery and restaurants tie up with the company to make their menus available on the website for an online transaction. Swiggy basically takes the major lead from a person’s geographical location and shows them the most relevant names and menu of the restaurant. Food is generally delivered within 45 minutes, but in case of delays the Customer service drops in a call to inform you of the delay. The company has generated a huge amount of jobs in the form of Swiggy representatives, who can be seen on Indian streets zipping around on food delivery bikes with their

Know More About Peeple – the Yelp for Humans:

Mar 10, 2016 By

Apple’s app store has been home to a new member recently. The controversial application Peeple, which has been described as ‘Yelp for Humans’ has now been released. The application has been quite controversial because it allows users to, er, ‘rate’ other users.

Peeple can recommend humans based on three categories – personal, professional and dating. Creators of the application, Julia Cordray and Nicole McCullough had announced this app back in October and has asked the potential users for recommendations.

The app displays positive reviews immediately, while the negative reviews take 48 hours to appear as the users could then frame a proper reply to address this negative feedback about their personality.img_2868

However, the company has made it expressly clear that “If you don’t approve a recommendation you can easily delete it,” reads an excerpt from Peeple’s website. “Remember, recommendations never go live on your profile without your permission.”

The website describes this app as – “The Peeple app allows you to better choose who you hire, do business with, date, become your neighbours, roommates, landlords/tenants, and watch, teach, and care for your children.”

However the biggest criticism against the application is that it does not allow humans to be their natural self anymore. What makes us really unique is the way we behave and the way we respond to situations. If we mold our lives just for the sake of getting good reviews on an application, things would start getting ugly real fast.

Criticisms are all-round, and major names such as the Washington Post have called the app ‘terrifying’. One negative review on this application can change a person’s life – it can deny them the chance to get their dream job, or to meet someone with whom they might have spent their life with, in a people-free world.

An Android app too, is expected to release later this year amid all the controversy.

Facebook has caused great problems for Yelp by launching Facebook Professional Services, that is similar to Yelp. The shares of Yelp had already been on a steady decline and now with Facebook on the scene, Yelp has a Herculean task to perform.

Under Facebook’s service, users who want to look up a certain businesses can do so by simply by typing the name of the business and the area where it is located. Be it photographic services or something as weird as a list of atrologers, you can search for all sorts  businesses online. It serves as a platform to bring all businesses together on one page.

Searching for the business is not all. You can also rate the businesses that you see here easily, based on the kind of service they have provided you. Facebook collects these results and uses them to grade them according to the ratings received. From medicine to spa, from pets to cars, every thing you want is easily available on Facebook’s professional service.

The offer can be viewed easily if you are able to visit facebook.com/services. Under this page, all the options will be visible to search what you like. Let us take an example of schools. If you would like to look for schools in DC, you would need to pick the name of the place and the term school as a search keyword and the top schools of the area will be displayed for you to pick.

This is a great earning option for both the businesses and Facebook as well. Businesses could pay to get listed by Facebook on this application, thus causing Facebook to earn much more. The businesses on the other hand will be able to get more customers. This application brings the businesses to the users and vice versa in the manner of the yellow pages, mutually benefiting both parties.

After you have selected the business, there are other important things in the results that you have to keep your mind on. You will be able to make a note of phone numbers and the address. If you are searching for the business while you are at your desktop, you will be able to take the mouse of top of the address and you will also be able to see  a map with directions in a tiny inset.
