Today was the big day! Microsoft FINALLY unveiled the biggest of their devices, as the company set their feet further into the world of hardware.
Microsoft had been expected to come out with big launches, however what they did was totally unexpected and all the devices that they launched were so amazing that they blew the roof off NYC!
The company announced some of the most awaited devices of all times, and when talking about Microsoft’s venture into hardware, one can’t just NOT mention the name of Surface devices.
Microsoft took the surface devices one step forward and changed much of what was perceived about them.
The company launched the Surface Pro 4 featuring the Windows 10 OS.
The device is truly revolutionary in nature and comes with some really advanced high tech features.
The latest tablet from Microsoft, the fourth generation device, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 came out with 12.3-inch (2736×1824 pixel) of screen, featuring a 3:2 aspect ratio.
The screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Microsoft has removed the stylus and has now introduced the Surface Pen, which also happens to come with an eraser. The new Surface Pen can detect 1,024 points of pressure.
Much like most of their other devices in recent times, even the pen supports Cortana.
The Surface Pro 4 released with a Intel’s 6th-generation Core processors, buyers can choose from Core M3, to Core i5, and Core i7. Most people were however expecting Skylake.
Microsoft has also claimed that the Surface Pro 4 is 30 % faster than the Surface Pro 3, and 50 % faster than Apple’s MacBook Air.
The Surface Pro 4 comes with up to 16GB of RAM (beginning at 4GB for the base model), and can run up to a whopping 1TB of SSD storage (starting at a minimum of 128GB).
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes with four USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet port, and a fingerprint scanner. It also comes with two 4K min DisplayPort.
Microsoft said the Surface Pro 4 will offer up to 9 hours of battery life. It bears an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device was also expected to come out in a 14 inch variant, however it looks like Microsoft has dropped that plan for now.
Newer accessories have also been introduced, where the keyboard is more evenly spaced than ever before.
