PS4 Pro Shows Problems With 4K TV – Problems Blamed Upon PS4 Firmware

Nov 15, 2016 By

The PS4 Pro took the world by storm when it was launched but apparently, it has sever connectivity problems with 4k TV’s. This has come as a big surprise to the tech community and to Sony itself, because of the very fact that the console was known to have a double advantage over its counterparts in terms of display, as it has been design to show compatibility with both High Dynamic Range Colours (HDR colours) as well as 4k resolutions. With absolutely nothing to doubt about the software, all fingers point at the possibility of faulty software and experts have blamed the latest firmware to be creating this problem.

The PS4 Pro, out of the box, comes with the version 4.0 installed, but the latest version 4.05 seems to have been the root of all troubles. As soon as Sony rolled out the update, numerous people took it and since then, tech forums have been flooded with complaints of non connectivity, black screens, intermittent audio and video feeds and also no signal.

However, nothing can be blamed upon the firmware alone, as the complaints that were faced about the non connectivity have been narrowed down to only a few brands of television, like  LG, Hisense and Vizio, particularly those models that are not very new. Those who use other televisions have so far made hardly any complaints about this problem. So it does boil down to one thing – apparently, the new software of the PS4 Pro is only not compatible with  LG, Hisense and Vizio televisions.

A few users of these television brands have come up with a backup plan to keep the PS4 Pro thing going. To do this, once when their HDMI was plugged into the 4k port of the TV, they turned the TV on and started the PS4 in safe mode. After this they changed the HDCP setting to 1.4 only. After this, with trial and error, they proceeded to repeat the steps above and get the resolution right. This did work for a few but it might not work for you, so it is advisable for you to leave these to the experts.

FIFA 17 Demo Version Out On 13th September

Sep 7, 2016 By

While Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 (PES 2017) already has a demo, EA hasn’t announced when you can try FIFA 17 before it hits the shelves later this month. Well, until now. Speaking to Gamereactor, FIFA 17’s Lead Producer Garreth Reeder said that the demo for the game will be out on September 13. Oddly, no platforms were mentioned. It won’t be a surprise if it is available on the gaming platforms such as PC, PS4, and Xbox One. In our experience, FIFA’s demos end up being quite close to the final product, at least on consoles.

FIFA 17 will be available in the US from September 27 and the rest of the world (India included) from September 29. The game will be on EA Access for the Xbox One a week prior to release and on PC through Origin Access. You can also pre-order the game digitally as well as at Amazon India, EA’s exclusive partner in the country. Keep in mind that buying digitally usually means a large download size and the lack of resale value, making the physical version a valid option especially in countries like India where Internet connectivity isn’t the greatest.

We found FIFA 16 to be an interesting beast in our review. The core gameplay veered towards simulation with thoughtful ways that retool some of its most basic actions and your approach to a match. However it’s hamstrung with flawed execution to some of its headline features like FUT Draft and women’s teams. How EA rectifies this in FIFA 17 remains to be seen. Are you excited about the FIFA 17? Have you already pre ordered the game? Comment below and do let us know what your thoughts are regarding all the upcoming new features and your excitement for the game and do not [miss out the date for the Demo launch.

In June, the CEO of Sony had confirmed at a pre E3 interview that an update for PS4 was on the drawing board. Although the console was not mentioned officially at the annual gaming confab, the code name “Neo” was confirmed in the story. The new update is set to offer Ultra HD and 4K graphics while it will also sit well with the standard PS4.In layman’s terms, the PS4.5 will offer better graphics than there already are and it will also compliment and be compatible with the game library between both models of PS4. Fans from around the world are hoping that the “Neo” will offer a smoother experience which should be nausea free for the company’s next big launch which is the PlayStation VR add on which is set to hit the shelves on 13th of October.

With the PS VR expected to take the markets to a whole new level, things are indeed going to get exciting! The competition between Sony and Microsoft is heating up as Sony is also preparing to launch VR and 4K gaming in the form of Project Scorpio console. Who do you think will win the console wars this time around?

Jul 7, 2016 By

The world of gaming has been one which has been progressing at a really rapid pace over the recent few years. There have been several changes which have been made over the past few months, and among these changes, the consoles have updated and upgraded time and again, giving the users a much better experience than ever before. Over the years, another trend has been observed – the games which, eventually win Game of the Year awards tend to re-release in a ‘Game of the Year’ edition. The latest game to follow this trends has been The Witcher 3.

The news comes via Eurogamer, who have published the following statements from the director of The Witcher 3.

“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a gigantic effort for the entire studio, and both the team and me were amazed by the good reception of Geralt’s adventures. Since launch, we’ve released two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, which added a lot of new adventures to the already potent mix,”said Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz to Eurogamer.

“With all the free DLC and updates the game received so far, including significant changes to the game’s interface and mechanics, many gamers have asked us if we’re working on some sort of a Game of the Year Edition. I’m happy to confirm – yes, plans are in motion to release such an edition. We’ll release more details, including the release date, in the future. In the meantime, I’d like to thank every fan of the game for their support – you’re really amazing!”

The Witcher 3 is indeed one of the best games in recent memory, and the Game of the Year edition is indeed expected to do well in the markets. As of this moment no release date has been announced for the game, though it is expected to release in August.

PS4 Neo Really Exists, but will still not appear at the E3:

Jun 10, 2016 By

The PS4 Neo which has always been in our rumours for quite a long time has finally received a confirmation. Although we do not know when the PS4 neo will be able to come into the market we do know for sure that it is not a Hoax and will surely be launched when the correct time comes.

News for broken to all the users of Sony by Andrew House, the president and global chief of Sony interactive entertainment. Since this news has come from a reliable source we will believe every word that has been mentioned by him. Also the fact that this device will not be available in the E3 this year is another source of disappointment for many a Playstationfan but good things always deserve a bit of time before they appear. However we do expect that there may be some mention of the estimated date by which the PS4 Neo will be revealed to the world.

House was not completely silent on the issue however. He mentioned that people will have to spend a lot more money for buying the new model of the PlayStation 4 and it would be definitely worth its price. Every dollar and every penny spent on this device will give you a lot more than it actually seems like. Gaming on this device will be a completely different experience for the users. The best part of it is that it will not marked the end of the existing PlayStation 4 model. In fact president house said both the PlayStation models will be available for sale at the Sony stores together.

That being said people will focus a lot on whatE3 has actually gots to offer them and not what they are going to get in future point however comma it will form a base for the future products that do get unveiled this time in this show. Every year 2015 police lock to the show just to attend it and to get a feel of what new games and new devices and install for them. I clearly remember in the previous show in 2015 we got to see some real good games including the trailer of uncharted 4 a thief’s end. It was also shown that certain games that has long been considered dead had come to life in this show. The most striking of them was fall out 4 that kept its gamers waiting for 7 years before it finally got launched.

We Wonder What games will be launched this year and what new development we will see from the tech giants around the world but we can definitely say that every single show gets better with the passage of time and takes us to new heights of technological development.
