Microsoft has got a number of devices up its sleeve to be launched in 2015, out of which we are to see the most important ones at an event that is being rumored to be held on 19th October, 2015.
This event would apparently be held to launch the Surface Pro 4, Band 2 and the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL. This rumor of the event was first seen on a Chinese website WPDang.
We do not know how they were able to get this information, but there might be an ounce of truth in it as Nokia Power User has received a hint that there would be a multiple hardware launch event on 19th October.
The Verge also mentioned an event but there were no dates specified.
All the hardware launched on this date would needless to say, be Windows 10 devices, so apart from hardware there may be some important revelations on future features that Windows 10 may be infused with.
The Lumia Talkman (Lumia 950) and Cityman (Lumia 950 XL) have long been rumored to be released this year.
Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are both expected to come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory and have MicroSD card slot for expansion of memory.
The 950 will come with a 5.5 inches OLED display, while the 950 XL would come with WQHD display with 5.7 inches. Both have 1440×2560 pixels resolution.
Both phones have a 20 MP pureview rear camera and 5MP front camera.
A triple LED flash will be available on the 950XL.The prices of these phones are expected to be a little over $500.
The battery for the Lumia 950 is 3000mAh and that of its bigger counterpart is 3300 mAh. Both would run on the latest version of the Windows Mobile OS.
In terms of processing power, the Lumia 950 would have a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC and the 950 XL would have 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC.
The star of the show, however is expected to be the Surface Pro 4 tablet.
This device is expected to come with Intel’s Core M ‘Broadwell’ CPU and will deliver amazing performance, claims Microsoft.
Two screen sizes have been proposed – 12 inches and 14 inches.
The device is expected to be fanless, so it would be thinner than its predecessor.
Internal memory is expected to be 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 500GB.
There have even been talks of a 1TB device getting launched.
Display resolution would be 2,160 x 1,440 pixel-resolution, 16GB of RAM and Xbox game streaming is also expected.
