Facebook Messenger – Now Connect With More Than 50 People In A Group Call:

Apr 21, 2016 By

Facebook is now all set to battle Skype and other messengers in a head on battle. The the social networking giant has recently introduced the group calling feature to a messenger. The Facebook messenger that only provided a simple way to send messages to your Facebook contacts, can now be used not just to make one to one calls but to make group calls to more than 50 people. Unfortunately the video calling feature is still under progress but we are quite sure that Facebook would be able to email it within a few months.

This group call feature in the Facebook messenger is something that was expected from quite some time. When Facebook launched is video and voice call feature embedded in the Messenger of it was an achievement in itself. But having group call is a different Ball game all together. With a limit of 50, we are quite sure that this is not what Facebook would stop at. The social networking giant is sure to raise the upper limit of the number of uses in each call quite soon.

Chief of Facebook messenger David Marcus has always been supportive of the company and has been known to bring about unique changes in the way his product works. In a recent post on the official website it has been stated that within the next 24 hours the group calling feature would be rolled out as a stable version to uses for download. At the moment, this feature would be available to users on android and IOS. The voice over Internet protocol that is going to be used in the calling feature, needless to say, would not attract data charges. However, the charges would be limited to data only and would notaffect the Telecom provider charges. Marques also confirmed that this version would be subject to changes in case uses point out mistakes and possible improvements.

Important aspects of this feature that are known as of now includes the fact that whenever a call is received in a group it would show up with the group name and a list of members on call and the list of members off call as well.

For now, we would take the words of David Marcus and try out the feature.

Facebook has been a company which has been on a massive growth and has been rising to popularity with every passing day. The company has been adding on more and more features and updates to the Facebook Messenger of late, and it looks like the company is looking forward towards building the messenger service as the one-stop-solution for all the needs of the users. The company has been improvising the offering of the messenger aFacebook Messengernd has been introducing new and updated features in it from time to time. The latest update could soon have the users shop using the Facebook Messenger.

Lines of code have been found inside the Facebook Messenger by The Information, which reveal that Facebook might be planning shopping as the next service for the users of the Facebook Messenger. The company has specified that the app will allow the users to pay in person or pay directly in the messenger app when the item is picked by them.

Comments made by Zuckerberg in January add fuel to fire as Zuck had said back in Jan that “We’ll partner with everyone who does payments,” Zuckerberg said. “We look at the stuff that Apple is doing with Apple Pay, for example, as a really neat innovation in the space that takes a lot of friction out of transactions as well.”

Facebook entering the world of shopping could add on to the long list of existing services such as booking an Uber and much more that can now be done via the Facebook Messenger.

Facebook is looking forward towards building an ecosystem of its own – the main Facebook app, the Facebook Messenger, Moments, WhatsApp, Instagram, and several other such technologies have been acquired by Facebook which offer a one stop solution for many needs of the people. The company is indeed cooking something big in the days to follow.

The company has once again done that as they introduced a brand new design change for the users of the Facebook Messenger.

The material design was introduced by Google in 2014 as they geared up for the launch of Android Lollipop OS. The most noticeable change to the colour has been made to the bar on the top which has been made blue in colour.Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger boss David Marcus announced the design makeover on social media.

“If you’re using Messenger on Android, you’ve been wanting a brand-new material design for a bit. Snapchat Reaches 8 Billion Video Views Per Day – Equals Facebook:

Mar 1, 2016 By

One of the most popular names in the world of communication technology, Snapchat has been rising up the ranks rather quickly. Only four years old and 400 million users strong, the company has been coming out with a large number of updates and upgrades for the users and has been gaining a large number of users off late. In one of the latest updates in the world of technology, Snapchat has now been gaining a large number of users. The company has now equaled Facebook in terms of video views.Snapchat Challenges The Popularity Of Facebook – Will The Social Networking Giant Be Affected

Of late, Snapchat had been recorded 6 Billion video views, and the company has now announced that they have reached the golden number – 8 Billion video views. The number is rather special because 8 Billion video views is what Facebook has been achieving.

Rivaling Facebook is quite a tough task as Facebook has a large number of users backing them up. Facebook has over 1.6 Billion users, and with just 25% of their user base, Snapchat still manages to gain an equal number of video views. Many have also alleged that Facebook inflates these numbers as the company shows a ‘video view’ as only three seconds.

With these impressive numbers coming out, Snapchat has been luring more and more marketers towards them, claiming their stake as the number one player in the markets when it comes to the world of video based marketing. The appeal of this application has been in teens and young adults, and the app has strongly taken the markets of age groups 13-25.

Snapchat has been adding many new updates to their app, most noticeably the birthday lens in the recent times, as well as the sale of custom Geofilters at as low as $5! The company has been progressing rapidly, and looks like it is all set to gain a major momentum in the days to follow.

Telegram Crosses 100 Million Users, 15 Billion Daily Messages:

Feb 23, 2016 By

The world of communication technology has been growing at a rapid pace. Companies have been doing everything in their might to stay on top of their game, and in a world where installation is hard but uninstallation is easy, apps need to be really up to the mark in order to gain users. The Telegram Messenger has been doing a splendid job at it, as the messaging app crossed 100 million users.  Founded by Pavel Durov (also known as Russia’s Mark Zuckerberg), the app has been quite controversial, but as Eric Bischoff said it, controversy creates cash!

The Telegram Messenger was started off a little over 2 years ago, and has been quite popular off late for the services it offers. Not only does the app offer safe and secure messaging which features end-to-end encryption and self-destruction features, but also supports transfer of all kinds of files till 1.5GB in size. telegram-pic

Pavel Durov, the creator of the app is also known for creating VK, Russia’s largest social network. The man has been living in exile, over the government pressure of handing them the social network’s users’ details. Of only 31 years of age, Pavel revealed at the Mobile World Congress that “Every day, 350,000 new users sign up for Telegram,” Durov said. “And we have zero marking budget.”

While 100 million might not sound much when compared to a Billion WhatsApp users or 800 Million Messenger users, it certainly indicates that the app is a major force in the markets, and it is not likely that it will be shut down anytime soon.

The Telegram app was under a major controversy following the terror attacks in France, as it was brought to light that the terrorists used the Telegram messenger to communicate, as well as to propagate terrorist propaganda using the public channels. Owing to the secure nature of the app, it was impossible to find out how it was being used.
