As soon as the iPhone 7 was launched by Apple, the talks of iPhone 8 in the rumor mill started. It really didn’t take too long for some really interesting and key features that are possible to feature in the upcoming iPhone by Apple have surfaced. There have been rumors of wireless charging to be included in the iPhone 8 and the latest rumor is only making the concept more concrete. Ming-Chi Kuo who is a KGI analyst has pretty much confirmed that the new iPhones will support wireless charging.
Further Mr. Kuo notes that the wireless charging adapters will be provided in a bundle with only the premium models and the people who opt for the base models will have to buy the wireless charger as an additional separate accessory. It is also mentioned that the wireless charger will be of the same design and structure as the inductive pad which is being used currently to charge the Apple Watch. In his notes it is confirmed that the iPhone 8 will have a glass back which will allow faster charging along with minimum disruptions from the frequency interface. It is not the first time that we have been told that iPhone 8 will sport wireless charging, in an earlier leaked report it was mentioned that the iPhone 8 will be able to charge itself up to a distance of 15 feet from the charger and the users will not have to necessarily place the iPhone on the charger.
In further leaks iPhone 8 has been tipped to come out with bezel-less curved displays with an OLED screen. However, it is said that Apple are having some issues with mass OLED screen purchases and they might just introduce it for the premium variants. The Home button is tipped to be completely eliminated and an on screen button will be introduced and it is set to be powered by their own brand new A11 processor.
