Apple, on the 21st of March, finally announced the arrival of their new iPad and iPhone devices. The company has been introducing several changes to the way their markets function, and has brought out many new innovations to the mix. The Apple iPad Pro comes out into the markets as the successor of the iPad Air 3, and is a miniature version of the iPad Pro.
Here are three things you must know if you intend to buy it:
- iPad Pro is the miniature version of iPad Pro (November)
Apple has confused the markets as they have released two devices with identical names and near identical specs, with the same design and features. The iPad that came out in March is smaller in size than the iPad Pro November version, as it stands at a modest 9.3 inches when compared to the 12.3 inched iPad Pro device. Apple’s new iPad Pro comes with all the other features remaining the same, including the same A9x processor, the same four speaker setup, and the same smart connector option.
- Confusion over name
Despite all the hype and confusion around it, the device was not officially named the iPad Air 3, though it is widely considered as the successor to the iPad Air 2 device. It looks like Apple is dropping the iPad Air series of devices, and will continue only with the iPad, iPad Mini and iPad Pro series of devices in the future.
- iPad Air 2 Gets A Price Cut
Apple’s iPad Air 2, which is widely considered to be a predecessor to this device, has now been given a price cut, where the price of the iPad Air has received a price cut of $50, and some retailers are selling it at a $100 discount too. If you are comfortable with a device of the previous generation, the iPad Air 2 is not a bad choice.
