Alcatel has been a company which has been undergoing a major strategic change. The company has been trying to rebrand their devices and has recently also released a premium set of devices – the Alcatel Premium Idol 4 and 4s phones. The company at the same event before the MWC 2016 kicks off, has launched a two in one tablet, which features some really incredible specs. The tablet is the Alcatel Plus 10.
Alcatel Plus 10 comes out into the markets with some unique innovations such as a dual battery. The tablet comes in as a two in one device as it features a keyboard and tablet combination, which has been the trend of recent times and has been working in favor of many such companies. The Alcatel Plus 10 runs the Windows 10 OS, and comes bundled with a keyboard.
The keyboard is in itself quite unique, as it comes with its own battery, as well as a slot for 4G LTE. However despite all these impressive features, the spec of the Alcatel Plus 10 tablet are average at best.
This Alcatel made tablet is powered by a 1.92 GHz Intel processor and 2GB of RAM, and features a very disappointing 32GB of storage space. While it boasts of three modes – a tablet, a computer, and an entertainment device, the viewing angles of the Alcatel Plus 10 are not as good as they are expected of a device in today’s day and age. Look wise it is quite similar to the Sony VAIO P series of devices.
The device can last up to 8 hours, as per Alcatel. The keyboard, however, could have been made a little more ergonomic in design. But at the price point it will be placed at, it looks like it will be wroth the money. The Alcatel Plus 10 joins the Alcatel Premium Idol 4 and Idol 4S as the company’s offering before the Mobile World Congress 2016 kicks off.
