With Sony featuring constant innovations in its technology, their marvelous foresight is already targeting the ninth generation of consoles, which might take as many as five years to finally take a tangible form.
But if the rumors are to be believed, Sony has already been planning out the future of their gaming console, by thinking over a PS5.
If the rumors are to be believed, Sony plans to include an ultra fast Re-Ram, also known as RRAM, or also known as Resistive RAM, which alternatively is also called the 3D Stacked RAM.
The current rumours indicate that Sony will eventually team up with Micron to add the RRAM to the PS 5. The current rumors suggest that Sony has a bright future and is expected that their share prices will reach to as high as $50 a share from the current $17 a share when they eventually expand their horizons towards the Chinese and Indian markets and expand their business there.
These rumors also suggest that Sony will discontinue with the production of the PS3 in one to two years’ time.
The factories that manufacture the PS3 will eventually be handed over to Micron, where they will build the PS4 RAM and the latest generation CELL fibers.
Though an approximate five years is a safe guess to assume for the PS 5 to come out, as the gap between PS3 and PS4 was six years.
Also, if the trends are to be of any use, the sources of the rumour suggest that Microsoft might exit the gaming markets in entirety due to poor future and lack of sales. The PS 4 is estimated to have a lifetime sales of over a hundred million units.
The current scenario sees Sony being one up over Microsoft as the PS sales are leading the charts when compared to the XBOX One sales, but it will be outrageous to think Microsoft will exit the gaming markets so soon.
But one thing is certain, XBOX or no XBOX, life is good for Sony fans as of this writing, and if these rumours are credible, the future is much better.
