Samsung has been a leader in the world of smartphones and today owns one of the largest market share in the segment of smartphones.
The Korean company was previously known for the technology that they offered in different types of electronic household goods.
However, ever since the smartphone revolution broke out, the company has been producing a big line of amazing phones which have changed the way we use a phone.
The advent of android has helped the smartphone industry accelerate its pace of growth.
Samsung as a brand has benefited a lot from this and is now working forward towards the growth of their brand.
Microsoft has worked hard towards the development of the Windows Phone OS and the smartphone wave booming, the company has now acquired Nokia and has pushed the Windows Phone brand forward.
The windows phone 8 has been something which has entered the markets quite late and has proven to be a third force in the markets. The top two spots have been taken by the iOS and the Android devices.
Samsung today is an established name in the industry and people have a blind faith in the brand.
Microsoft is planning to take advantage of this faith in the brand and is now planning to promote their windows phone OS with the help of Samsung.
It is said that the Microsoft has entered into a deal with Samsung where the company is being expected to come out with a big series of windows 10 phones which will offer the users many new features that they have never seen a windows 10 phone ever before.
The deal is also said to have certain exclusive rights where Samsung is allowed to make customizations to the traditional layout of the windows phone.
They will be imposing a new UI with some Samsung-exclusive apps and games and it would be branded not just as a windows phone, but a ‘samsung windows phone’ – where the users would also be getting additional warranty benefits from the company.
This deal has apparently still not been struck but is in the process of being finalized. Samsung has shown a great interest in this and the monetary aspect is being worked out as of now.
The phones would emphasize on the core ‘windows 10’ value and would have many new things that were never a part of the windows phones before.
The features of the One Drive and various other cloud based services would be added.
These range of phones would first release for the US markets and would be priced somewhere in the range of $300-$400.
