One of the biggest names in the world of consumer electronics, Samsung has always been known for their show at the Consumer Electronics Show. And like every year, Samsung was one of the most awaited names at the Pre-CES events. It was a great moment for all who awaited it when finally had their show. The company was one of the biggest names at the event, and to their credit, they did not disappoint. Among various other announcements, Samsung launched their next-gen laptops – the Samsung Notebook 9 series.
The company has launched two devices in their Samsung Notebook 9 series – featuring a 13.3 inched screen and a 15.6 inched screen. Both the laptops run the Windows 10 OS out of the box. Samsung has also announced that they will be out in the markets for selected regions starting March.
One of the most surprising features about these laptops are that not only are they packed with heavy duty processors, but they are also surprisingly thin! The 13.3 inch variant comes with a thickness of 13.4mm and weighs 0.84kg, and the 15.6 inched variant comes with 14.5mm of thickness, and weighs 1.29kg. Both the laptops come with a magnesium alloy build.
Both the laptops in the Samsung Notebook 9 series come with 1080p displays, and both of them run on the latest processors from Intel from the Skylake-U series. Users get an option to choose between 4GB and 8GB of RAM, and the storage capacity comes in at 128GB and 256GB SSD.
The devices come out into the markets with two USB 3.0 ports, and the 15.6inched variant also has one USB 3.1 (USB Type-C) Port. The devices come with a backlit keyboard too.
The only drawback, as of this moment that we see, lies in the battery life of the devices as the 13.3-inch model comes out with a 30Wh battery while the larger, 15.6-inch variant of the Samsung Notebook 9 series comes out into the markets with a 39Wh battery.
