These two handsets are the most appreciated ones this year and both are flagship devices of their companies.
Both have features that would catch your eye, but we won’t know until we get into the details of the specs and features and see exactly what each of these devices has to offer.
Having said that, let’s get started and see which of these is best for you.
Design
The iPhone 6 from Apple comes with only 0.26 inches in thickness and weighs around 129 grams. This makes the device both lighter and thinner than the Moto X which weighs 144 grams and has a thickness of around 0.39 inches.
Display
The display on the iPhone 6 measures 4.7 inches and comes with a 750 x 1334 resolution. The pixel density for this device is of 326 ppi. The shatterproof glass protects the screen and also has an oleophobic coating that keeps fingerprints off.
On the other hand, the Moto X comes with a larger 5.2 inch display screen that uses a 424 ppi pixel density and a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen, making sure your screen won’t crack easily.
Hardware and Software (as per GSM Arena)
For processing, Apple’s device depends on the dual core Cyclone processor, clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz. The GPU on duty is the PowerVR GX6450, whereas the allocated RAM is of 1 GB. The internal memory options are as usual with latest Apple devices, 16, 64 and 128 GB.
Moto X encompasses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Krait 400 processing unit. The quad core chip is clocked at a speed of 2.5 GHz and has support on the graphic side from the Adreno 330 GPU.
The Moto X only has 16 and 32 GB variants for storage, but does however come with 2 GB of RAM. Neither device supports expandable microSD.
Camera
With an 8 MP camera on the back, capable of a 3264 x 2448 maximum resolution and equipped with dual LED and HDR capabilities, the iPhone’s camera is quite good, but not good enough to compete with the Moto X and its 13 MP main snapper. The lens can shoot at 4128 x 3096 and also has dual LED support.
Battery
The iPhone 6’s 1810 mAh battery can deliver about 14 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time on 3G, while the Moto X comes with a 2300 mAh battery capacity.
Price
On Amazon.com, the iPhone 6 is priced at around $840, whereas the Moto X has a starting price of about $500.
