Minecraft players on Xbox 360 have good news in store for them.
They will now have access to Doctor Who skins that can be purchased from the Xbox marketplace.
Doctor Who is a famous TV show and book series about a human looking alien with two hearts who time travels in a blue police box and protects the world from alien monsters, with the help of his companions.
Xbox One is yet to receive the Doctor Who skin updates.
But for Xbox 360 users, the action has just begun. More than 50 new characters from the series would make their appearance here starting this week. The series was introduced into the game franchise only because of its never diminishing popularity.
This announcement was heard from Xbox Wire and currently under the proprietorship or Microsoft, Minecraft was chosen to be laced with Doctor Who skins because its popularity is of the same proportions as the fictional series.
Skin pack one would have characters like the War Doctor, Clara Oswald, Rory William, Weeping Angels, Snowman, Smiler and Doctor 1, 4, 6, 9, 11 and 12.
The skin pack is available from Xbox Marketplace exclusively for Xbox 360, only for $2.99. Reports also point at the possibility of this skin pack making its way into the Minecraft for Xbox one quite soon.
While the Xbox 360 users enjoy themselves with the Doctor Who update, the Xbox One users can revel in the recent launch of the Donkey and Horse Update 2. This was announced by 4J studios along with many other patches that would be made available for both Xbox One and Minecraft PS4.
The first main update would be the “Copy Save” feature that would allow duplication of worlds.
Other smaller updates that these patches would bring are enumerated below:
• Proper rendition of adjacent glass blocks

• Proper functioning of the ‘can build mine’ aspect

According to 4J studios, new updates for all Minecraft consoles is underway and would be named the “Horse Update”, introducing tamable horses and donkeys to the game, that can be used by players to ride in their minecraft worlds.
