The world of technology has been one where one can actually observe several rapid changes happening over a course of time.
These changes have been very fast and often happen at the blink of an eye. Some updates get buried under other updates or news flashes.
We at TheREM are committed towards bringing the latest news updates for you from across the spectrum of technology.
Following are some of the latest updates and upgrades in the world of technology you should be in touch with!
- Instagram starts testing multiple accounts on Android:
Instagram has noticed that there have been several users who have been complaining of the fact that they have to log out and log in again and again when they need to sign in into different accounts.
This has been a common which has been frequently reported by users who are handling businesses or brands on Instagram.
Twitter has an interesting option where users can manage multiple accounts without logging out and logging in every time, and Instagram too has now been testing this feature on Android.
Interested users can access the multiple account feature by joining the Instagram beta programme, and then downloading of the app as directed.
The feature is visible in Instagram v7.12.0. Users can then log in to multiple accounts by tapping Settings>Add Account.
- Microsoft’s Cortana for iOS starts rolling out
Microsoft has been focusing heavily on promoting its experience across other devices.
This Cross promotion effort has recently led to several Microsoft launches on Android and iOS, and the latest move from Microsoft is that of introducing Cortana for the iOS.
However, due to Microsoft using Apple’s TestFlight feature, only 2000 users would be able to get access to Cortana in the initial days (which would be a maximum of 60 days).
Earlier in November, the company began inviting Cortana for iOS beta testers, and it is now making the app available to those who signed up.
Cortana is expected to perform a limited set of functions for the users of the iOS, such as allowingthem to set meeting reminders using the app, and use voice commands to ask questions to Cortana.
This move is expected to help Microsoft also expand the reach of the Microsoft Band 2 users to the iOS users. Cortana has been picking steam slowly, and the future looks good for Microsoft with such rapid strides.
