The Lumia series of phones came out in the market as the last desperate attempt by Nokia to save their brand image as a market leader.
The company had, at that point of time, working really hard to push these phones, especially in the markets of India and Brazil, which are two of the hottest markets for the smartphones as of now.
The users of these countries have responded really well to the Lumia series and the company had put in their best efforts to promote the phones.
The Lumia phones have been fairly successful and they come with a promise that Microsoft will provide the users with the latest upgrades of the phones.
However there is a small catch. The last version that most lumia phones shall get shall be the Windows Phone 8.2, and there shall be a new series of Lumia phones that will be upgrading to the Windows Phone 10.
The users of the Lumia series now have the first phone which will provide them with the Windows Phone 10 OS, and that shall be the Nokia Lumia 935.
This shall be the only phone that will be getting both – the Windows Phone 8.2, and the Windows Phone 10 upgrades. Both of these operating systems have something new to offer, and something the likes of which has never ever been witnessed before.
There has to be a difference that should be known by the users – and here’s the difference between the Windows Phone 10 and the Windows Phone 8.2, both of which are forthcoming updates:
The windows phone 8.2 is the final update for many nokia lumia phones while the windows phone 10 OS will be the first update that shall come in for many new phones in the series.
The windows phone 8.2 will be the last update that will provide the Metro UI, and it will be the last update that has the classic ‘blocks’ look, which shall be missing from the new Windows Phone 10 OS.
The windows phone 8.2 can run on as less as 512MB of RAM while the Windows Phone 10 needs a minimum of 1GB of RAM to support the improved graphics.
There will be a lot of emphasis of sharing visual content in the windows phone 10, while the windows phone 8.2 would feature more of the touch-friendly improvements as the final step of improvement in the windows phone 8 series.
What also sets these two apart is the fact that Windows Phone 10 requires a high amount of storage space and occupies nearly 2GB of space in the system memory while the windows phone 8.2 will take less than 1GB of space.
