Over the past several years, there have been a large number of changes which have been made to the way the markets of technology function. The company has brought forward many changes into the markets, and has been leading the world of software and OS technology for quite a long while now. Microsoft is now expected to introduce several major changes in the way they function, and they have now been moving into the hardware space as well. Microsoft has been coming out with quite a large number of devices in their hardware division, and are soon expected to come out with the Surface Phone.
The Surface Phone has been a device which has often been talked about, but never actually seen in the markets. However, the Surface Phone is not an urban legend, but is something which would soon be a reality. While Microsoft has never officially commented on it, hints have time and again been dropped.
Microsoft’s Corporate VP of Windows Kevin Gallo has commented on the matter, saying that the next Windows 10 Mobile OS device would be involve ‘category innovating’. While he specifically did not name the Surface Phone, it is highly anticipated that this is the device he is referring to here. Kevil made these statements to The Register, “We’re really aligned to what we’ve done on the Windows desktop […] which is we’ll lead with some high end and category innovation like we’ve done with Surface, and OEMs will go and build the breadth of the catalog,” Gallo said in the report.
Microsoft is expected to release the Surface Phone in the following three variants based on the storage space and RAM:
- A Basic version with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage space,
- The Advanced version which features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space,
- The Pro Variant, with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space.
