The E3 event, every year, is among some of the most popular names in the world of gaming technology. Major names in the world of gaming technology come together under one roof and make several announcements for the next year in the world of gaming. Microsoft has been a mainstay at the E3 event every year, and this year too, the company is expected to come out with some major announcements. Just before the E3 event the company has decided to slash the XBOX One prices.
The XBOX One price has now fallen down to $299. A 1TB variant of the XBOX One could now be purchased at as low as $319. However, with the E3 coming up, it is strongly recommended to wait for a little longer if you’re planning to buy a new XBOX, as Microsoft has been reported to come out with a new and improved variant of the XBOX device – the XBOX Slim.
Rumors of the XBOX Slim have been in the markets since a very long time, and they seem to be becoming true now more than ever before.
As per PC World, “Last week, both Kotaku and Polygon suggested that Microsoft may be working on a far more powerful successor to the Xbox One, due in 2017. Known as “Project Scorpio,” the next Xbox (the Xbox Two?) will be roughly four times as powerful as the current console, with about six megaflops of performance, according to Polygon.”
Many interesting things are happening in the markets of technology, and the XBOX One might soon be becoming a ‘previous-generation’ device, as Microsoft deep-dives into the markets of VR technology.
While it is highly unlikely that a new, VR compatible XBOX will be a part of the E3 events, a teaser or a talk about the same might actually happen. However, if at all an XBOX One Slim is ever going to release, it is going to be at the E3 2016.
