Jul 7, 2016 By

The world of gaming has been one which has been progressing at a really rapid pace over the recent few years. There have been several changes which have been made over the past few months, and among these changes, the consoles have updated and upgraded time and again, giving the users a much better experience than ever before. Over the years, another trend has been observed – the games which, eventually win Game of the Year awards tend to re-release in a ‘Game of the Year’ edition. The latest game to follow this trends has been The Witcher 3.

The news comes via Eurogamer, who have published the following statements from the director of The Witcher 3.

“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a gigantic effort for the entire studio, and both the team and me were amazed by the good reception of Geralt’s adventures. Since launch, we’ve released two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, which added a lot of new adventures to the already potent mix,”said Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz to Eurogamer.

“With all the free DLC and updates the game received so far, including significant changes to the game’s interface and mechanics, many gamers have asked us if we’re working on some sort of a Game of the Year Edition. I’m happy to confirm – yes, plans are in motion to release such an edition. We’ll release more details, including the release date, in the future. In the meantime, I’d like to thank every fan of the game for their support – you’re really amazing!”

The Witcher 3 is indeed one of the best games in recent memory, and the Game of the Year edition is indeed expected to do well in the markets. As of this moment no release date has been announced for the game, though it is expected to release in August.

Jul 3, 2016 By

The world of technology has been progressing in rapid leaps and bounds. Gaming, at one point of time, was a part of the markets of technology, but has today become an industry of its own. The gaming industry has been booming at a much rapid rate, and consoles keep improving time to time. The console wars have been on since quite a long time, and both, Microsoft and Sony have been trying to get better with every passing day. Competition has been getting hotter and the gamers are in for a treat in the years to follow. In latest announcement from Microsoft, the release date for the XBOX Play Anywhere program has been announced – September 13.

The XBOX Play Anywhere program is a unique approach from Microsoft which allows the users to play a select number of games on Windows 10 PC as well as XBOX One with a single purchase. The company has made the following announcement, announcing the arrival of the XBOX Play Anywhere feature:

“The Windows 10 Anniversary Update and the related Xbox update coming this summer enable the Windows Store on Windows 10 and Xbox One to support Xbox Play Anywhere games,” a Microsoft spokesperson explained to Polygon.

“Then, beginning with the launch of ReCore which launches on September 13 this fall and continuing with Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2 and others, when you digitally purchase a game that supports Xbox Play Anywhere, you have access to the game on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs for one price and your progress, game saves and achievements are shared seamlessly across both platforms.”

Not only would you be able to play the game on both, the Windows 10 PC and the XBOX One consoles, but also, DLCs purchased on one would be activated for the other as well. This is only for the digital downloads of the games.

WWE 2k17 Cover Revealed – Features Brock Lesnar

Jun 28, 2016 By

The WWE series of games have been among some of the most awaited games every year. The company has been coming out with these games since over a decade now, and every year, the company brings back some or the other superstar, or celebrity which helps spike an interest in the games, coupled with an amazing storytelling in the games. The WWE 2k17 is going to be no exception, and while the company showed off that Goldberg was going to be a part of the WWE 2K17, it was widely anticipated that he will be the poster-boy for the game too. However, that was not the case, and as the cover was revealed today, we got to see a very powerful looking image of Brock Lesnar in it.

Brock Lesnar, the beast incarnate, is officially in the cover for the WWE 2k17. This is the second appearance of the beast in the cover, after Here comes the Pain, which came out in the early 2000s. However, the fact of the matter that Bill Goldberg was not featured in the cover poses many questions.

While it has been stated on the internet that the deal is only between Goldberg and 2K, and not Goldberg and the WWE, nearly every time a superstar appears on the WWE games, he comes back to the ring – be it Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, or even Sting. Goldberg might make an exception this time, but there is a high possibility that the man will be wrestling in the WWE ring in the next one year.

With the Brand Split coming up, WWE has indeed been looking for more stars to add to their arsenal and who better than this legend from the attitude era to be a part of the WWE roster once again!

PS4 Neo To Come Out Despite No Announcements At E3 2016 –

Jun 19, 2016 By

The world of technology has always been about competition. Competition has been the key to success and markets are always driven by competition. There have been many legendary rivalries in the world of technologies, but there has been one which has always been on top of everyone’s minds – it’s not even a rivalry, it’s a war. The Console War. Microsoft and Sony have been at each other’s necks when it comes to making consoles. The companies have always tried to one-up each other and prove that theirs is a better console. The gen-next war is expected to soon be between the upcoming XBOX “Scorpio” and the PS4 Neo.

The PS4 Neo has been a device which has been often talked about in the insider circuits but never officially confirmed by Sony. Many had anticipated that it would be Sony’s next big surprise at the E3 2016, but the company did not make any such announcements at the event.

However, market insiders insist that the PS4 Neo would indeed be coming out, and that it would be rivaling the XBOX Scorpio. As of now there is no fixed timeline for the release of the device, but it has been anticipated that the PS4 Neo might be releasing well before the time the XBOX Scorpio comes out into the markets, possibly even later this year. Microsoft has said that “Scorpio” would release in Holidays 2017.

“Several sources have indicated to me that PlayStation Neo launches this year, despite its E3 no-show If that is the case, it’ll be interesting to see how developers utilise its resources, and whether 4K really is the focus. And we can be equally as sure that Microsoft will be watching just as intently as it gears up for its own next-gen roll-out.”, according to Eurogamer’s Richard Leadbetter.

The company might make the announcement at the Gamescom event in August or during the Tokyo Game Show later in the year.

Final Fantasy XIV Might Finally Be Coming To The XBOX One

Jun 19, 2016 By

The Final Fantasy series of games have been around for a really long time and have been among some of the most popular names when it comes to the markets of technology. These games have been changing many aspects of the markets of technology as we know them to be, and one of their most popular releases has been that of the Final Fantasy XIV. The game has been one of the most popular games to come out of the series in the recent times, and it is now being expected the Final Fantasy XIV might soon be coming forward to the XBOX One console.

The primary reason due to which the game was never a part of the XBOX consoles was because Microsoft does not allow cross-platform gaming. However, things are all set to change with this announcement:

“[I]n addition to natively supporting cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10 games that use Xbox Live, we’re enabling developers to support cross-network play as well,” wrote Chris Charla Director of ID@Xbox (Microsoft’s indie game developer program) in a post announcing its Game Developers Conference plans. “This means players on Xbox One and Windows 10 using Xbox Live will be able to play with players on different online multiplayer networks – including other console and PC networks.”

“Microsoft actually approached the Final Fantasy XIV team about the cross-platform opportunity,” Naoki Yoshida, the game’s director told Polygon. “When our team reviewed the regulations that are associated with that, we realized that Microsoft may not have the experience or understanding of running an MMORPG as an online game genre just yet. The Final Fantasy XIV team has fed back to Microsoft that there are certain elements of its regulations that we would have to consider waived. We’re waiting on Microsoft’s response for that, but we are having discussions.”

This is indeed a good news for the fans of the Final Fantasy XIV on the XBOX One platform.

Half Life 3 – Release Date, Virtual Reality, More:

Jun 10, 2016 By

One of the most awaited names of recent times, Half Life 3 has been a game which has been anticipated to come out in quite a long time, but the developers have maintained a silence every time questions are asked about the game. The developers of the Half Life series, Valve, have been among some of the biggest, most established names in the markets over the past several years. The company has been changing many trends in the markets, and it has now been anticipated that they will soon be releasing the Half Life 3 game.

HL3_t-shirt

The current speculation was that the CEO was not confident enough to go with the game. He had stated openly in the past that there is no point for a third game if it does not contribute to the series. Gabe Newell had commented saying:

“The only reason we’d go back and do like a super classic kind of product is if a whole bunch of people just internally at Valve said they wanted to do it and had a reasonable explanation for why. But you know if you want to do another Half-Life game and you want to ignore everything we’ve learned in shipping Portal 2 and in shipping all the updates on the multiplayer side, that seems like a bad choice. So we’ll keep moving forward. But that doesn’t necessarily always mean what people are worried that it might mean.”

However, things now seem different, and it is expected that Valve would indeed be working on the Half Life 3 game soon. It is expected that this new effort is now towards building the game in a fully-VR environment, and it is likely to be shown off at next year’s E3 event. The release date, however, is not expected any time before the year 2018, which will commemorate 20 years of Half Life games.
