Intel has been one of the foremost names when it comes to the world of technology and processors. The company has been around for quite a long while, and has been especially known for their efforts in the markets of technology. Early in 2015, Intel came out with a revolutionary device which allowed the users to take their computer anywhere, in their pocket! A single board computer – the Intel Compute Stick was launched by Intel last year, however the sales were a little on the colder side, and the company has now released a 2nd gen version of the same device.
The release of the 2nd generation Intel Compute Stick was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show of 2016 at Las Vegas. The company is all set to change the way the markets function with their new batch of devices, which are already receiving positive reviews early on.
While many criticized that the company should have taken some more time on the development of the compute stick technology before they launched the first version in 2015, this time around they have been much more careful. The device comes not only with strong internal specs, but also with design changes like smoother edges which makes it look better than before.
This time around it has been introduced with two USB ports, including one USB 2.0 and another USB 3.0 port! The device offers 32GB of internal storage, along with a MicroSD card support which allows the users to extend it to as much as 128GB.
There’s an additional micro-USB port for power adapters. The device also comes packed with an HDMI extension cord. It is easy to set up and starts off at a minimum price point of $159! Running Windows 10 out of the box, the device is indeed a major step forward in the world of technology. Intel has once again taken a major stride towards the future with this one!
